Welcome

Welcome to my new writing blog. I'm so glad you've stopped by.

This is the place where I will review and give away books, post interesting interviews with children's writers and authors, share itsy bitsy writing tips, and even host contests. Oh, and occasionally post on the progress of PROJECT: WRITING NOOK, which is, to say, taking a corner of my bedroom and turning it into a quiet, inspiring, cozy, serious place for me to write (as opposed to sitting on the end of the couch while my husband watches Seinfeld.)

So. Hang on to your hats, folks. This is going to be a fun and hopefully intriguing run.

Join me here every 2nd and 4th Wednesday of the month, for inspiration, entertainment, and well, let's just be honest, another place for your eyes to wander while you continue to procrastinate doing whatever it is you need to be doing.

Which is probably revising your WIP. shame. shame.

Be sure to check back next week when I'll reveal the highly secretive details of my Itsy Bitsy SUMMER Book Give-Away. If you want, you can get a head start on your entry right now! All you have to do is follow this blog (or LIKE my The Itsy Bitsy Writer page on FB) and you're automatically entered.

Have a great week.

  2. Good luck with your new blog and your writing nook project. I've been wanting to do that in my own bedroom. I keep telling myself that I'm going to do all of these things around the house when I finish revising my current WIP. Haha! Maybe I should do them simultaneously. I can plot while I paint. Right?

    1. Thanks Myrna! Ha, ha. I have the opposite problem . . . I keep telling myself that I will get back to working on my WIP AFTER the writing nook is set up (which is a process, not an over-night magic show). Maybe you could write a little, then brainstorm while you paint, write some more, etc. Good luck!
